Hard Work and Dedication: The Foundation of Success at CAP
At CAP, we believe that success is built on the foundation of hard work and self-discipline. This guiding principle is reflected in the efforts and achievements of our students, faculty, and community members. From academic honors to community service, our CAP family continues to demonstrate what it means to be dedicated, resilient, and forward-thinking.
Making an Impact: Community Service & Leadership
Our high school students recently took part in a hands-on initiative with CLIPs, helping to maintain our campus by picking up trash, power-washing sidewalks, and removing graffiti. Their dedication to service is inspiring, and we extend our gratitude to the incredible team of supporters who helped make a difference. These acts of service reinforce the importance of hard work and giving back to the community.
Faculty Takes the Win—Again!
The competition was fierce, but our faculty once again proved their dominance with another victory in the Faculty vs. Students Kickball Game. With previous wins in volleyball and basketball, our faculty remains undefeated this year. Great effort by all who participated—students, we know you’ll come back stronger next time!
A Celebration of Excellence: Read Across America & Honors Banquets
We recently celebrated Read Across America Week, embracing this year’s theme of "Create & Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers." Encouraging literacy and a love for reading aligns with our mission to prepare students for lifelong success.
Additionally, our High School Honors Banquet was a night to remember! Special thanks to our guest speaker, CAP alumni Darly Santelises, and our dedicated chair, Wendy Williams, along with board member Candido Silva, for their inspiring words. A historic announcement highlighted the night as we recognized our Class of 2025 Valedictorian, Jordan Urena-Cruz, and Salutatorian, Eric Smith—the first time in CAP history that both honorees are male students! We also celebrated our elementary students’ achievements at the Honors Breakfast, with special guest Carlyn Crawley inspiring our young scholars.
Building Bright Futures: College Exploration & Career Day
Our high school students explored future possibilities with a tour of Thomas Jefferson University, gaining valuable insights into campus life and opportunities ahead. Our younger students brought ambition to life during the Career Day Wax Museum, showcasing their dreams and aspirations with enthusiasm. We can’t wait to see them turn their dreams into reality!
CAP Students Giving Back & Striving for Excellence
Service and dedication are at the heart of CAP. We proudly delivered 709 pounds of canned goods to Philabundance, helping to fight hunger in our community.
In the academic realm, we congratulate our students who successfully completed the Future Lawyers' Program with Harvard Student Agencies, gaining a solid foundation in law and justice. We also recognize 7th grader Janee Nguyen for placing 3rd in the Philadelphia Regional Spelling Bee—an outstanding achievement that showcases her hard work and perseverance!
Sports & Experiential Learning: A Well-Rounded Experience
Our Middle School Bowling League kicked off with great enthusiasm! The boys dominated with two wins, while the girls split their matches. Kudos to Coach Burns for leading the team! Meanwhile, our annual Experiential Education Trip has begun, with students heading to Spain for an unforgettable journey filled with cultural learning and adventure. Safe travels!
