At CAP, our mission is to foster the mastery of basic skills as the foundation for success in every endeavor. Over the past few weeks, our students have engaged in enriching experiences that embody our goals and values, and we couldn’t be more proud! Here’s a recap of the incredible activities and achievements within our school community.
Exploring Science in 2nd Grade Our 2nd-grade students have been diving into science, exploring the wonders of landforms and bodies of water! 🌍💧 They had a blast discovering how water shapes and changes the land. Hands-on learning has never been this exciting!
Entrepreneurship Excellence Members of CAP’s Entrepreneurship Club recently participated in the Philadelphia Financial Scholars Youth Entrepreneurship Business Pitch Competition Semi-Finals. 🌟 This event provided students with a chance to collaborate with business professionals, refine their presentations, and showcase their innovative business ideas. 🚀 Special congratulations to Leah Rodriguez, CEO of Echo Charm, who won the grand prize of $1,000! 🎉 Additionally, Oscar Duran, Amy Tang, and Albert Rodriguez-Ramos of Help the Hearts earned the Most Philly Proud Business award!
Serving the Community Our high school students had an unforgettable experience at the PSPCA Service Learning Trip, giving back to animals in need! 🐾💙 In the spirit of service, our HS NHS students also volunteered at Caring for Friends, preparing over 1,000 meals and 500 sandwiches for those in need. ❤️ Thank you for making a difference!
Faculty vs. Student Basketball Showdown What an intense game! Our faculty took the win by just a few points in the annual Faculty vs. Student basketball showdown. 🏀 Huge thanks to everyone who came out—your support helps fund the senior class trip!
Giving Back: Tab Collection for St. Christopher’s Hospital A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our tab collection drive! 💙💛 Your generosity will make a meaningful impact when we deliver the collected tabs next week.
Spelling Bee Champions! 🏆📖 Congratulations to Janee (Champion) 🥇 and Emily (2nd Place) 🥈, who will be preparing for the big event at WHYY’s PBS Studios on March 15! 🎤📺 We are proud of every student who participated!
CAP Spirit Goes LIVE on FOX 29! Our students had an incredible time going LIVE on FOX 29 with Bob Kelly for an Eagles pep rally! 🎉🏈🔥 The energy was electric, with performances from the drumline, step team, and choirs, plus some lucky students won prizes!
AP NHS Canned Food Drive! 🥫✨ From Feb 3 - Feb 27, donate canned food and earn +1 extra credit per can on your test grade! 📚🎉 Bonus: Bring cans during Report Card Conferences for an easy way to give back! ❤️
