    • CAP's NHS raised an impressive $3,289.00 in just four days through a Double Good fundraising event.

    • Proceeds support the North Carolina Outward Bound program, exemplifying CAP's commitment to growth and exploration.

  • Holiday Spirit: Ornament Tradition

    • Elementary, middle, and high school students decorated ornaments and adorned their class trees.

    • This cherished annual tradition reflects CAP's values of creativity, collaboration, and festive joy.

  • Heart & Sole 5K Achievement

    • CAP's Heart & Sole team completed their 5K run, showcasing resilience and empowerment.

    • Through the Girls on the Run program, participants embraced self-confidence, physical activity, and community support.

  • High School Winter Concert

    • Date: Thursday, December 19, 2024

    • Time: Doors open at 4:30 PM, concert starts at 5 PM

    • Location: Gym entrance

    • Tickets: $3, available at the school store.

    • Proceeds will benefit the CAP music program.

  • Lighthouse Winter Fest

    • Date: Monday, December 16, 2024

    • Features: Hayrides, s'mores, light displays, and family fun.

    • Cost: $7 per person

    • Registration Deadline: December 13, 2024


Community Efforts

  • Wrapping Up the Clothing Drive

    • NHS students gathered and organized clothing donations, which GreenDrop picked up.

    • Donations will support those in need, embodying CAP's spirit of generosity and service.

  • 6th Grade Shines at City Hall

    • Mr. Shelley's 6th-grade singers performed at the City Hall Christmas Tree Lighting.

    • Students met Liamani Segura ("High School Musical: The Musical: The Series") and Keyshia Cole, with assistance from the 24th Police District.


Learning Beyond the Classroom

  • 5th Grade Visit to The Franklin Institute

    • Hands-on experiences explored science and innovation.

    • Students engaged in STEM activities, supported by dedicated teachers and chaperones.
