On November 13, 2024, students from the Bruins Give Back Community Service Club proudly represented CAP at the Philly Service Award, Participating Schools Day event. They joined local leaders, nonprofits, and students from across Philadelphia for an inspiring day of service and community building. Highlights of the event included listening to Councilmembers Isaiah Thomas and Anthony Phillips connecting with service-oriented peers, and decorating tote bags to bring comfort to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
In a heartfelt announcement, CAP shared the launch of their new year-long project, “Bruins HOPE (Helping Others by Providing Essentials),” aimed at supporting young people facing homelessness in Philadelphia. This initiative reflects CAP’s commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need. Special thanks to CAP teacher Mrs. Ferris-Crisafulli for organizing this meaningful experience, helping students gain valuable insights and connect with those dedicated to positive change in the community.
